The Diary of a Young Girl – Anne Frank

Is a book of the writings from the Dutch language diary kept by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands.

It is challenging to imagine the adversity this young girl had to endure, yet her diary can give us a glimpse into her ordeal.

Anne’s writing was quite honest, her words were neat and full of meanings, you can easily tell in which mood she was without she telling it. Even during those really tough circumstances, she was a very positive and optimistic young lady.

One thing is very moving is the fact that every time you turn a page her life gets shorter and when you read about her goals, aspirations and dreams you already know she won’t achieve them.

I don’t want to talk about World War II and Holocaust deep enough in this post, I just want to invite everyone to read this book.

This is a book worthy of time and attention.
